Dogs on Parade

Dogtown

In the election year of 1858 our town received its name. Dwight won by one vote over Dogtown. In 2010 local artists were lead by the slogan “Dwight is a Doggone Good Town” to decorate fiberglass dogs to grace our village streets. Inspiration was provided by the hundreds of family dogs residing in Dwight, the famous Basset Waddle held every year during Harvest Days and the vote taken in 1858. Stop by our office at 132 E. Main Street and pick up a brochure and map of the locations of these fun additions to town.
