Celebrating Successes at Dwight Township High School

Dan Kaiser was selected as Principal of the Year for the Illinois Principals Association! Dan retires at the end of the year. Congratulations to Dan on his many achievements.
Lindsey Jensen received the National Education Association award for Teaching Excellence. This follows Lindsey’s 2018 Illinois Teacher of the year award.
Dr. Jancek was chosen by IASA as one of the 11 Illinois Superintendents who will travel to Dominican Republic next summer to work on a Global Services Project benefitting a local community.
Bryson Connor, a Senior at DTHS, was selected for the U.S. Senate Youth Program. Bryson is one of two students to represent Illinois in Washington DC. Bryson will receive a $10,000 scholarship for his undergraduate study at Illinois Wesleyan University.
DTHS had three students from the Class of 2020 who were recognized as Illinois State Board Scholars. State Scholars rank in approximately the top ten percent of high school seniors, representing 652 high schools across the state. These students are: Addison Bean, Bryson Connor, and Avery Ohlendorf.
Congratulations to four Trojan Wrestlers on qualifying for state: Dillon Sarff, Daniel Gutierrez, Cade Emerson, and Samuel Edwards. Daniel Gutierrez took a 4th place finish in State.
Congratulations to Nora Anderson, who advanced to the state level of the IHSA Country Companies 3-point shooting contest.
