Guest Speaker – Starved Rock Country Alliance

On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Amy Lambert, Executive Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the Starved Rock Country Alliance gave a presentation at the Dwight Economic Alliance regular monthly board meeting.  The DEA’s Director of Economic Development, Deb Karch, has been utilizing the services available through Starved Rock Country Alliance for several months, but this presentation allowed Amy to ensure that the full board and attendees understood the services available through her organization’s programs.

The ISBDC at Starved Rock Country Alliance can provide no-cost, confidential, one-on-one business advising to those with a desire to start their own business in Dwight.  Amy provides assistance with several areas, including the development of business plans, but she also has a team of advisors with specialties such as financing and marketing.

The DEA provides ISBDC SRCA staff with office space to meet with local entrepreneurs.  If you have an interest in starting a business and would like to connect with an advisor, contact Deb Karch at debkarch@dwightalliance.org.
