committee-participation-dwign-economic-allianceThe Dwight Economic Alliance encourages each member business to have at least one representative either participating on a committee or actively attending the monthly Board meeting. Your representative may participate on more than one committee, and you may have more than one representative actively participating. While most committees meet on a regular schedule, it is always a good idea to check our Events Calendar to see if a change has been made prior to attending.

    volunteer Volunteerism

    Volunteerism

We encourage every member business to encourage their staff to become active members of the community. Dwight has many opportunities for everyone to contribute their strengths to the common good – whether it be coaching in the Dwight Youth Baseball League, planting flowers, working at the Welcome Center, or coordinating a blood drive.

Where possible, some employers in town have provided incentive programs for their employees to facilitate and reward their work in the community. Some examples include:

    • Allowing staff to use two or three of their on-duty hours each week to perform volunteer tasks.
    • Having staff submit their community service time, with an award/reward issued for every 100 hours of service.

Having your employees playing a positive role in the community reflects positively on your business!

We encourage you and your staff to enroll in our community electronic newsletter, which will provide you with opportunities to get involved.
